On 20th May 2021, eight Party Branches at the headquarters of the Open University of China (OUC), the Party Branch directly under the Department of OUC Projects of Beijing Open University (Beijing OU), Xianning Radio and TV University (Xianning RTVU), and Wontone Automotive Service Learning Centre of the OUC Experimental School, launched a group learning event on the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Wang Xiaohong is an associate professor in and director of the Department of Foreign Languages, Culture and Art in the School of Public Administration at Fujian Open University (Fujian OU).

Qiu Weiming, a member of the Communist Party of China, is a professor and senior technician with a bachelor degree. He started teaching at Taizhou Radio and TV University (Taizhou RTVU) in September 2013, and now receives a special government allowance from the State Council, and belongs to the Ten-thousand Talents Programme in Zhejiang Province.
