To guarantee network security for the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, and implement the requirements of the Ministry of Education (MOE) and six other ministries on strengthening the security of education-system data, on the morning of 28 May 2021 Mr. Liao Yunhua, an expert on business continuity, information security, and director of the Division of Network Operations of the MOE Education-management Information Centre, gave a lecture on “Network-disaster Preparation” at the Open University of China (OUC). About 40 members of the OUC’s 11 departments and units attended.

In the spring semester of 2021, 12,744 new students enrolled at Qingdao Open University (Qingdao OU) in order to enhance their degrees, a 14% increase over the previous year. In 2019, 15,000 students registered, and 22,000 in 2020.
