The Open University of China (OUC) recently hosted a closing meeting on African strategic layout research for the Open Learning Centres (Future Academy) and a seminar on the construction of these centres.

To propel the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance's efforts to a new level, effectively actualise the national strategy for digitalisation of education - which emphasises integration, intelligence, and internationalisation (known as the 3I strategy) - and to continuously boost the university's global influence, the Secretariat of the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance (hereafter, "the Alliance Secretariat") recently welcomed a 29-member delegation from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), led by the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED).

On 19 June 2024, the Open University of China (OUC) held a thematic meeting on teaching teams. During the meeting, various academic schools engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on the current operations of teaching teams, existing issues, and suggestions for improvement.

From 12 – 13 June 2024, an international conference themed "Building a Learning Society Through Digital Transformation of Open Education" was held at the Open University of China (OUC).
