Recently, an event to select “Outstanding Civil Servants in Zhejiang” was jointly launched by the Organisation Department and the Propaganda Department of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Departments, and the Provincial Civil Service Bureau. Eight civil servants from Lishui city won the “Outstanding Civil Servants” honour, including three alumni from Lishui Radio and Television University (Lishui RTVU), Wu Jinhua, Ye Xuewei, and Deng Chaoping.
On the morning of 4th November, 2017, in the examination room at Xinjiekou School, Nanjing branch of the Open University of China (OUC), an English exam for the adult education undergraduate Bachelor’s degree for the Beijing area in fall 2017 was under way. An OUC alumnus from Wuhan RTVU attended the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political and Consultative Conference (CPPCC), also known as “Two Sessions” in 2018. His name is Zhang Wenxi, deputy monitor of the Spring 2012 Agriculture and Economy Management class and one of the first session of graduates from the junior college class for the talent cultivation project of Xinzhou district rural village class. As the only grassroots-level farmer deputy to the Two Sessions from Wuhan, Zhang Wenxi brought with him a number of proposals.

On 8 April , 2018, a seminar on the Appreciation and Creation of Traditional Chinese Landscape Painting & the MOODLE Platform Project of the Open University of China (OUC) was held in Cixi, Zhejiang Province. 17 people, including the OUC president, Yang Zhijian, members of the project, and the leaders of some OUC branches attended the conference, which was chaired by the head of the project, Tang Yingshan.
In 2018, the Open University of China (OUC) will continue to promote the construction of the learning outcome accreditation system, and launch learning-outcome accreditation sub-centres in the spring of the year.
Teachers and tutors from the Tianjin Radio and TV University (Tianjin RTVU) recently visited rural villages in Wuqing district and the rural school for adults there, bringing free learning cards and setting up high-quality learning resources to help enhance the skills and educational level of farmers in the area.
