On 29 September 2024, the "An Ode to New China, Forging Ahead in the New Era" cultural and artistic performance, held by the directly-affiliated institutions of the Ministry of Education (MOE) to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China, took place in Beijing.  

To support the development of learning resources at the university and address the needs of teachers for integrating ideological and political education (IPE) into courses, the Open University of China (OUC) has introduced the "Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform."

To facilitate the smooth progress of the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance's initiatives, the first online meeting of the Alliance Research Committee was organised by the Open University of China (OUC), the Alliance’s Secretariat, on 27 September 2024.

On 30th Sept. 2024, to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the National Conference on Education, further serve the “Eight Major Projects” and “Two Actions” of the Open University of China (OUC), and effectively promote the teaching and research ability of the teaching staff, the Lifelong Education Research Institute of the OUC held the 2024 Academic Exchange Activity of Teaching and Research Ability Improvement and High-Level Project Incubation Workshop.

To support the construction of Digital China and carry out the project of cultivating students' core literacy in the Open University of China (OUC), the University Library (University History Museum) has made a comprehensive update to the digital literacy area (hereinafter referred to as the "area") on the official website of the "OUC Library ".

On 24 September, the Open University of China (OUC) held a video conference on the deployment of quality monitoring work in 2024. It reported on the quality monitoring situation of degree education in the school-operational system in 2023 and arranged the teaching inspection work in 2024.

From 21 to 23 September 2024, the inaugural China Nursing Home Directors Conference was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. The event was co-hosted by the China Association of Social, Welfare and Senior Service (CASWSS) and Fudan Institute on Aging, and organised by Changsha Social Work College.

On 23 September, 2024, under the organisation and arrangement of the College of International Education (Office of Foreign Affairs; Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs)of the Open University of China (OUC), Mr. Sam McIlroy, director of the Language Centre, and Dr. Michael D’Angeli, Academic English Programme manager and tutor of the Language Centre at the University of Oxford, conducted exchanges and discussions with relevant departments of the OUC regarding teacher team building and the development of teacher training work platforms.
